These terms govern your use of the SmartSchool OS platform. Please read them carefully before creating an account.
By accessing or using SmartSchool OS, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the platform on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.
SmartSchool OS is a cloud-based school management platform that provides tools for student administration, exam management, AI-assisted report generation, analytics, attendance tracking, and billing. The platform is offered on a subscription basis with storage-based pricing tiers.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
You agree not to: use the platform for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform; interfere with or disrupt the platform or its infrastructure; upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content; scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform without permission; resell or redistribute access to the platform.
You retain full ownership of all data you upload to SmartSchool OS, including student records, exam data, reports, and administrative content. We do not claim any ownership rights over your data. We will not access your data except as necessary to provide the service or when required by law.
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis according to your chosen plan. Prices are listed in Nigerian Naira and may be subject to change with 30 days' notice. Failure to pay may result in suspension of your account. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
AI-powered features, including report generation and analytics, consume AI credits. Credit usage varies by feature and complexity. Credits refresh on your billing cycle. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content and recommend human review of all AI outputs.
We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will remain accessible for 30 days to allow export, after which it may be permanently deleted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartSchool OS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may modify these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
